Todd is the president of RBA Financial, after the passing of his partner, mentor and friend, Ray Blacha, in July, 2006. Todd joined RBA in 1994 as a sales associate, with the responsibility of introducing mutual funds to the company's client base and developing tax preparation and consulting services.

In 1996, Ray, who founded RBA Financial, invited Todd to become a junior partner; two years later he became an equal partner. Together, Ray and Todd successfully made RBA Financial one of the most respected small-town financial planning boutiques in Canada today.

Todd was born and raised near Meaford on a dairy farm, and growing up, he was very active in agricultural youth groups and on local sports teams. After completing high school in Meaford, he attended Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU), graduating in 1990 with an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Todd received the President’s Gold Medal for achieving the highest academic marks of the entire graduating class. He also earned several scholarships and awards while attending WLU, including the Canada Life Award for the highest mark in Estates and Trusts.

Todd joined a manufacturing firm in Collingwood as controller, but continued his studies and received his Certified Management Accountant (CMA) degree in 1993. He also received his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation in 1999.

Today, Todd, his wife, Karen, and their five children live on a farm in Meaford. The couple raise purebred Simmental cattle, and they have won numerous grand champion banners at the Royal Winter Fair with their prize livestock. Todd believes his agricultural roots gave him first-hand understanding that hard work, discipline and quality of family life are important and guiding values in all of one’s endeavours. He credits agricultural youth groups, such as 4-H, for developing leadership skills at a young age.

Todd's very active in the local community, both as a volunteer and a financial supporter. He coaches minor hockey, and he's a leader of the 4-H club. He's a member of both the Rocklyn and Meaford Agricultural Societies, the Masonic Lodge, the Chamber of Commerce, the Advisory Board of the Meaford Hall and Culture Foundation, and he was a member of the Meaford Hospital fundraising committee.

Todd and Karen sponsor and donate their time to a number of local events. The couple continues to support many of the local 4-H clubs, junior farmers, school activities, minor sports, The Meaford Library, The Meaford Town Hall, and many other local groups and functions. In 2006, Todd and Karen donated a grand piano to the Meaford Hall and Cultural Foundation, and in 2007 they donated $20, 000 to the Bruce Trail Association.

Todd is very passionate about his community and appreciative of the business support, and as an entrepreneur, he's able to direct his charitable activities locally. Todd’s clients all comment that the quality of trust, knowledge, passion and down-to-earth communications are the reasons they entrust RBA with their financial planning.
